Cadette and Shirley Morgan joined InterAct in 1971 to serve in Alaska at Victory High School. Cadette died in an accident in 1976 when their three children were very young. Shirley determined that the Lord had called her to missions even though she was alone and she stayed to serve at the high school until it closed in 1982. She moved to Anchorage to work with Alaska Natives who had moved to the city and ministered there, discipling women until her retirement. 

In 2020, she moved to Idaho. She is involved in her local church and has begun an outreach ministry to widows. Her heart is still with the Alaskan Native people and she still keeps in contact with them.
